  • What is Astrology and what is an Astrologer?
For centuries, our ancestors tracked the movements of the stars—what we now know to be planets. In fact, the Lascaux Cave in France, dating back to 17,000-15,000 BCE, contains cave paintings believed to represent ancient star maps and constellations. By 50 BCE, the Babylonians had created the first depiction of the zodiac wheel, including the 12 signs we recognize today. This knowledge was so significant that it was engraved on the ceiling of the Hathor Temple in Dendera, Egypt, a temple dedicated to Osiris. As many may know, the Romans were so obsessed with the planets that they took it upon themselves to name the ones they could see after their own Gods. As the movement of the stars were studied over decades, astronomers noticed something interesting... There were cycles happening around them that coincided with the dance of the planets. As the cycles were documented, the practice of Astrology was born! The practice of Astrology involves an understanding of the celestial energies and patterns that have been documented by our ancestors, and the application of such information. Each planet, sign, house and aspect hold their own energy. Comprehending each individual piece of an astrology chart and being able to delineate the layers of information in an absorbable and meaningful way... That is what good Astrologers are made of!
  • What can I get from a reading?
Astrology readings come in many forms. The most common is the Natal Chart reading (also known as a Birth Chart reading), which provides deep insights into your personal planetary placements. Other readings focus on current planetary transits, offering guidance on how to best navigate and harness the energy we’re experiencing. Additionally, there are compatibility readings that combine the energies of two individuals, helping couples understand how they interact in relationships, including their strengths and potential challenges. Astrology is a powerful tool for self-discovery and personal growth. It helps us cultivate self-acceptance and tap into our unique strengths. By understanding our personal planetary placements, we learn how to use our energy signature to create a more fulfilling life. Planetary transits, on the other hand, guide us toward the most supportive timing and help us better manage challenging periods. A reading from an experienced Astrologer should be both informative and empowering. The goal is to help you navigate your unique energy, as well as the cosmic influences surrounding you.
  • What information is needed for an accurate reading?
To create an accurate Natal Chart, three key details are required: Accurate Birth Date Accurate Birth Location Accurate Birth Time The birth date reveals the positions of all the planets on the day you were born. To ensure the planetary degrees are precisely reflected, the birth location is essential. For example, a chart will be calculated differently for someone born in Australia than in the United States because the Sun can only shine in one location at a time (location affects time). Most importantly, the birth time is crucial. The Ascendant (or Rising Sign) changes approximately every two hours, and without an exact birth time, the houses of your chart cannot be accurately interpreted. The Ascendant is one of the most personal and defining placements in your chart, making it vital to have precise information for a thorough reading.
